I've never understood the argument.
Usually coming from white people, the argument goes something like Thales, Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, Euclid, and Pythagoras were ancient Greek philosophers who seperated the superstitous from the rational and formed the foundation for rational Western (European) thought that would go on to influence the Renaissance Europe and enlightenment.
The part I've never understood is that since Thales, Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, Euclid, and Pythagoras all studied in Egypt for over a decade each at the Temple of Waset and Temple at Karnak (Ipet Isup), and were all taught for over a decade under the Kemetic Mystery System which already recognized the rational thought along side of the supernatural, and that the Greeks had merely translate the KMT works. Would not that make the foundation of Western Civilization Africans not Greeks, since they were teaching the Greeks how to become civilized?
Especially given the fact that Greeks are falsely credited with Egyptian achievements ie Pythagorean's theory and Socrates "Know they self".
I also find it in hindsight awfully strange that my philosophy and math teachers all skipped over the fact that these men studied in Egypt and got their theories from there.
What is even more complexing to me is that it was actually Ibn Rushd (a black moorish born Spaniard), not the ancients who shifted medieval Europe from the supernatural and superstitious to the rational strictly and set the foundations for modern europe. It was his works in Iberia that the English and French would come down to Spain to copy and take back to Europe to set up their universities like Oxford.
So are academics and white society going to just keep pretending this is true?
