Since 1969 and the first Black Solidarity day, the Monday before election day,

a day designated for Black folks to nationally boycott all purchases except from Black owned businesses, to call in sick or take a vacation day and to stay home from school, and engage in a day of absence, in protest of our collective mistreatment and abuse,
it seems like the numerous injustices and indignities Black folks have faced this year that this year would show more cause for such action to be collectively taken;

How have this day been attended throughout the country thru
the yrs, Alarm Clock?
Less and less since 2 things

the death of Black media, in the late 90s, and the ascendency of Hip Hop kultcha, which has created a paradigm that looks at unity as though it could cause cancer, and collective focus as though it could cause AIDS!
