Am I the only one suffering with the truly appalling sound quality of MP3 especially when it is being used in large public places like nightclubs and bars, which degenerates into a completely horrible muffled DISASTER in very large auditoriums as exemplified by the FIASCO as opposed to their usual triumph of Masters at Work [featuring India live in March 2012] at the O2 arena here in London, UK?

I actually complained to the promoter [I KNOW him personally] who pointed to the Arena’s Sound Engineer, who yes you guessed it said they had probably the best digital system in town and pointed back at the promoter’s sound set-up.

A couple of months back I paid for the first time since my teens [previously through my connections in the Security in that auditorium I saw many of the greats/James Brown, Luther van Dross, Freddie Jackson, Millie Jackson, Eric B and Raikheem, Public Enemy with Professor Griff for free] I actually paid nearly £40 to see Bustin Rhymes, with Method Man, Red man, with the only part of the sound set up that was anywhere near right, the bass [but even that wasn’t half of what I’d heard Bernard Edwards put down in that auditorium with CHIC in the early 80’s]; all the rest of it despite Bustin and the rest’s truly excellent performance was somewhere between mediocre and poor.

WHAT IS GOING ON, are all of these supposed professional sound engineers deaf [including some brothers, whereas I don’t expect much from most Whites as very very few of them can hear the Blue notes]?

However, when I was abroad in March of this year, yet again I was both shocked and horrified by the manner in which allegedly top of the range Digital Amplification made a truly excellent live band sound very very strange to me [most people don’t seem to notice] in that their sound seemed very very artificial, cold; thus is the warm all embracing High Fidelity sound that I took for granted in public places [Bars, Clubs and public music venues] completely DEAD in the 21st century?

Isn’t ANYONE who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?
