Willie Louis dies at 76; witness to 1955 murder of Emmett Till
You gotta be kidding! He just died? I remember seeing him in a documentary. What a wonderful man. Oh Lord have we suffered in this world. I can't believe that we have just had another trial that was basically all White that did the same thing. But this time they were White women and a, '?' I guess the B29 juror was Hispanic? Now, that just makes a lot of sense...smh. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting this, Dunwiddat. I remembered reading about a black man testifying that he'd seen the terrorists take Emmit Till into a barn. I'm not surprised he had to flee North afterward. Till's grandfather, who also testified, had to slip out of Mississippi in the dead of night and make his way North, as well. Stories like his, of black people of conscious doing the right thing even when their knees are knocking with fear, inspire Pro-black people to continue to soldier on.
