Black Poetry : Pet Peeve; Women Who Claim They Can't Get Him To Leave!

He done whooped yo *** for lunch and dinner
He has told everybody he loved you more when
you was thinner.
Lied about his credentials and never holds a steady
job.
And basically sits at home and is a hell of a slob.
Talks about yo momma, in a sexual way.
Pushes away his kids when they only want to play.
Cracked your ribs , cause you burned the chicken.
And he is the one who needs the real *** kicken.
I know you lost your self esteem 30 lbs ago...
But ***** the dumb **** send that nikka out the do'
Got babies mama drama right on your own front
steps
And ain't decided if he want's to marry you yet.
At least if the nikka upped and died, you and
the kids could get your social security and regain
some pride.
But, ya makin excuses and stayin in that living hell.
I think it's time somebody rang your bell.
I know some sure fired ways to get him out of your
life...and it's even easier if you are not his wife.
Pick up the phone...dial 911
And listen my sista the job is not done.
Follow through with ya paper work and don't
bail his *** out.
Get over the bastard...that's what I am talking
about.
Last sista I know who didn't heed my word...
Her soul is flying free as a bird...
Cause one day a beating got carried away!
Her babies are orphans...and he's in jail today!
And all she had to do was keep the nikka the
HELL AWAY!

I know about this better than I care to talk about. It's a sickness of the mind that starts so early it's hard to detect until the pattern is in full effect. Bad decision after bad decision. Deep seated low self esteem. A well meaning friend or family member can't stop the cycle by good counsel. Unfortunately, something very bad has to happen first. I know firsthand about this heah.

Thank you for this. And I pray every day to stay out of this kind of cycle. It's a real pet peeve of mine, and hating it keeps me focused.
