Black People : Malcolm X Daughter Jailed on the Day He Was Assassinated.

One reporter pretty much says that a dark cloud seems to loom over this family.

I've read about a recent report on Malcolm X's grandson of whom has been imprisoned. He was the child that set Dr. Betty Shabazz's home on fire, and a fire that eventually took her life. I feel so sad for this young man because prior to that time, I've read that he had problems with his mother, one of the daughters of Malcolm X as well. He was so young at the time. I cannot help to think what Malcom X would think and feel about these happenings. This particular daughter in the news now is one of the twins born after Malcolm X was assassinated, and she never even got to know her father. Sad. This to me is just another prime example how this system can exploit Black people, and enhance Black-on-Black issues to their benefit. In this situation that surrounds Malikah Shabazz, it is reported that this recent arrest may stem from a serious conflict between her and her sisters over the estate of their mother and some unpublished works of their father that has a large value attached to it in the sum of over a million dollars.

Shabazz is being held in North Carolina on an outstanding warrant from Queens. Back in NYC, Shabazz was accused in 2009 of stealing the identity of a widow of one of her father's bodyguards. She was also accused of taking $30,000 to pay bills and other expenses.

Yesterday, February 21, was the day Malcolm X was assassinated in Manhattan.

…Shabazz was arrested in Mars Hill, in western NC. Her charges include possession of stolen property, grand larceny, forgery, criminal possession of forged instruments and identity theft stemming from charges that date back to 2009.

District Court Judge Greg Horne in Marshall, N.C., denied Malikah Shabazz's request for bond Tuesday, The Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times reported. Shabazz, 45, has waived extradition.

Malikah Shabazz moved to Madison County, North Carolina, just a week before the arrest, the paper reported. Investigators visited her home after an anonymous tip to the local child protective services agency about possible mistreatment of her 13-year-old daughter.

The investigators discovered that Shabazz had warrants for her arrest on charges filed in Queens, New York, including identity theft, grand larceny and possession of stolen property. Shabazz has been involved in a lengthy legal dispute with her five sisters over their family’s estate and what to do with their father’s unpublished writings, which are worth $1.4 million, the New York Times reported.

that we do not have the economic networks to provide the support for the famlies who have been destroyed mentaly and emotionaly for life

due to their parents giving thier lives for the sake of all of us

Why , we spent enough on just potatoe chips and energy drinks in the past 3 years to assit the families of

the Kings
Shabazz
Amos Wilsons family
Khalid Muhammed's family
the Evers family
and Dr Clarke's family

and maybe its not just money sometimes it is a group of wise men and women that they feel they can go to and trust when times are rough and they feel forces tearing them one from another.
