In the school district that I work in...students have every other Wednesday off...for "Professional Development Day" for staff....

In Barbados there is Professional Teachers Day every October.... I think they have a lot of time during holidays.

These kids don't need no more personal days off from school...My daughter gets personal days off on the weekend...Barely learn anything school anyways...
School is not that challenging enough academically to where a kid needs time off...They get summer vacation which is 2 and half to 3 months off...winter break 2 weeks off, spring break 1 week off...holidays...snow days....and weekends....etc.
I get so pissed when my daughter comes to me and says she has all these days off all the time....She needs more days of school if you ask me...If I could I'd stick her in a boarding school where she has to live there.
