faster
...greener pastures

is that what older men are after
…these days
a freshly blossomed bush
to sink into

I'LL DO YOU GOOD, LADY
COME OVER HERE, BABY

is that the caption?

is it any better than the ROSE
you once had
are you glad
you left ROSE behind

is she fine...

like a champagne chardonnay
do you like the things she say

is she broken in, yet

does she fit like a smooth glove
...a second skin
the way ROSE did

after the years it took to get things just right

will you grow tired of this one
like you did the other one

YOU KNOW THE ONE

does the drama
surrounding her {attitudes}
and {moods}
make you dream the far-away blues

is it charm
and charisma
that’s pulling you
toward her SWAY

or is it
HER WAY OR THE HIGHWAY
for you.

WHAT DOES THAT INFER, you ask

well, i'm not inferring anything
i'm asking
DOES SHE PULL THE DRAWSTRINGS
...got you dancing to her thing

or

do you still wear PANTS

come on
