From 66 to 80, there were 2 detterents to police brutality and police lynching in the Black community! Not only the Black Panther Party for Self Defense , but over 14 named and unamed groups organizations and ad hoc committees dove tailed their efforts of patroling the streets , 24/7.
The other detterent was that the Black community, nationally , would boycott at the drop of a hat, let alone an actual assau

lt or harm , years after Dr King was assassinated !
The question is , do we have such a addiction to shopping , now that we are ambivelent to rasing a 48 hour , nationwide 30 million Boycott of all spending , on the next national holiday and major corporate sales weekend , over police lynching??
