I don't see them as decendants of ish. Scientifically it is impossible due to their obvious recessive state. They are the grand pretenders assimulators from the re ligion cosmology etc.

Them having the relic is no different from them harboring the missing links of our heritage under ground. Worshipping our image and likeness. There was a great deal of progressive technology stolen and concealed. Who can blame them for their creators.
