23rd Annual Black Power "Shut 'Em Down" March & Rally & Evening International Forum focusing on the
Pan African Leaders Fighting Imperialism


New York – The December 12th Movement will commemorate the 86th Anniversary of the Birth of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, Malcolm X on Thursday, May 19, 2011. The day will begin with the 23rd annual Black Power "Shut Em Down!" March and Rally at 12:00 PM assembling on 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. All businesses on 125th Street will close from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM in honor of our Pan African Hero and Revolutionary, Malcolm X.

An Evening International Forum to Celebrate Malcolm X's Legacy Defending Pan African Leaders Fighting Imperialism will be held at 6:30 PM at the Oberia Dempsey Multi Service Center at 127 W 127th Street, NYC. The forum will focus on developments in Libya and Zimbabwe. Speakers include Viola Plummer,
December 12th Movement Chairperson; Dr. Leonard Jeffries,
Prof James Smalls,
Cde. Coltrane Chimurenga and a message from National of Islam Minister Akbar Muhammad.
