So I can use it to download movies from sites like http://www.watch-movies-online.tv/

i don't know; i don't watch streaming movies.

These videos on youtube that many of us find so useful will not always be
around so, you should download the ones you like.. you can even convert them
to a format you can use with your DVD player and television. check it out:

There are several different applications you can use to download
videos from youtube.com.. A quick google search will present you
with a list of options.. but the vast majority of them require you
to download and install some software that could have a virus attached.
Keepvid.com is a sight that allows you to download videos from youtube
without installing any software on your own machine.

Here's how it works:


find the youtube video you want to download.

copy the addresss for the video

Go to http://www.keepvid.com and enter the youtube video address in the dialog box and press DOWNLOAD.

enter the twisted word into the dialog box and click submit.

keepvid usually works pretty quickly.. when the processing is complete you will
presented it with 2 choices for download.. one in FLV format and the other MP4.

right click the link of the one you prefer and select SAVE LINK AS..

rename the file to a more descriptive name and push the save button.

a 10 minute video is about 20 megabytes.. so the amount of time will vary with
internet connection speeds.. I have cable internet from comcast so its about 3
or 4 minutes.. but if you are using dialup, I would reccomend downloading shorter
videos.

Brother SkuderJaymes ... this is great information ... even though i'm often left torn about it.

Let me explain ...

Brother MetaVerse shared these instructions with me / us in this post.

I downloaded the video I was asking about ... his ... his creative work ... and have it now in my possession.

But he removed the original from youtube ... which would suggest that he no longer wants it published.

With it being his work, and his wishes somewhat evident, it makes it very difficult for me to ignore that, and publish it anyway.

I've always been a stickler on respecting the property of others ... each other ... and even if i download videos i like ... it doesn't give me the right to publish them.

This has been a difficult area to find collective agreement on, for many believe they have a right to other people's property, just because they found it on the Internet.

Nonetheless ... this is a great tutorial ... and even the owners of videos need to know it!
