that he is dead doesn't surprise anyone; any time someone is accused of killing a cop, their objective is to kill that individual. the method isn't important. what is important is 1.) they claim he confessed to the killing of the police officers, and 2.) they killed him without due process.

Usually, a suspect who is accused of killing others, may be killed during a fire fight between the gunman and the police. However, once the negotiator arrived, there was no other killings, or shootings, by the victim (shooter). protocol would suggest they (the police) wait him out, or have a SWAT sniper get into position to take him out...if he would not surrender. again, they usually kill accused cop killers...so, surrender was probably not an option. and, given the high profile shooting, just killing him may have raised too many question. so, "WE COULDN'T GET TO HIM...AND HE WAS THREATENING TO KILL OTHER COPS," became their excuse for publicly executing him.

if he is the one who actually killed the cops, WE knew he was going to die...coz they wouldn't take the chance that the same justice system that finds them NOT GUILTY, in court, would let an accused cop killer walk free. so, sniper, shoot-out, or explosion...all add up to Micah X.'s death. which is something he had to know would happen...and MAY have wanted.

Let's just hope that the facts either back up (or dispute) the police chief's claims...

Do you have a link to the legislation saying "at home or abroad"? From what I understand it was only abroad and the american had to be in a leadership position with a "terrorist" organization.
