The concept of an indigenous Male Creator is a strictly Western Judeo-Christian one, and unfortunately, that has found it's way into (as well as helping to create) orthodox Islam.
I am a student of the PERT EM HERU (there's no such book as "THE BOOK OF THE DEAD"), and it says far more than what brother AQIL stated.
The duality of male and female Godship is not only apparent in the PERT, but it lays the foundation for METU NETER and SHETAUT NETER, that the KEMETIANS practiced.
From the PERT:
"Hail NUT!! From her womb pours the soul of the universe, she giveth the Kha to millions of forms...."
The Kemetic (and African proper) understanding of spirituality, is that the masculine and feminine energies were used interchangably, depending on the aspect of creation being examined.
The same holds true for ISLAM, which is the birth child of Kemetic and other antiquitous spiritual systems.
The 99+1 names for ALLAH are not all masculine attributes. An extensive study of QUIF ARABIC will revveal that many of the names are feminine in origin.
For that matter, the name of ALLAH itself is feminine, as SHE was originally apart of the Ancient Sabean (Himyaric, Nubian) Trinity of ALLAH (female= the moon), ALLAT (Masculine = the sun), and MIZNAT (child/neutral = stars).
Not only is this the origin of the SUN MOON and STARS premise that we see that survived into contemporary Islam, but these 3 gods were also derivatives of AUSAR, AUSET, and HERU.
Again, nothing new under the Sun.
