Black People : North Korean leader found Dead!

condolences. It doesn't matter what race, idealogy, or nationality someone is, a life is a life. It is very uncivilized to applaud someone's death just because they are deemed "dictactors" and against your own agenda (as some western countries have done).

Just like how Gaddhafi's remains and family members have been disrespected even after death.

I agree some of us get caught up in the programming and buy in. We are also so quickly to be live what ever is put on the boob tube reagarding the activities of the fed government under the guise of the united states. As if we have not learned our lesson allready..

The man is dead, I'm not celebrating it or shedding a tear either, just that his passing seems to be convenient for US military interests in the South Asia Sea, but for those who desire to rent their mantle and gnash their teeth and wail in mourning,
the man was OK until the Bush administration came in and cast that nation as an evil empire, thereofre international embargos, may have caused the abject poverty there.

president Clinton had established normalization of relations, cultural exchanges, and South Koreans able to visit families in the North,
as he was trying to stop embargos and travel bans with Cuba, and was in the process of assisting them in offshore oil drilling.
The negotiators successfully reached the U.S.-North Korea Agreed Framework in October 1994:
  • North Korea agreed to freeze its existing plutonium enrichment program, to be monitored by the IAEA;
  • Both sides agreed to cooperate to replace North Korea's graphite-moderated reactors with light water reactor (LWR) power plants, to be financed and supplied by an international consortium (later identified as the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization or KEDO) by a target date of 2003;
  • The United States and North Korea agreed to work together to store safely the spent fuel from the five-megawatt reactor and dispose of it in a safe manner that does not involve reprocessing in North Korea;
  • The United States agreed to provide shipments of heavy fuel oil to provide energy in the mean time;
  • The two sides agreed to move toward full normalization of political and economic relations;
  • Both sides agreed to work together for peace and security on a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula; and
  • Both sides agreed to work together to strengthen the international nuclear non-proliferation regime.

Bush ended all of that, and a democratic administration ironically continued the neo-con policies

This thread almost looks like we're going to get a repeat a la Libya intervention. Sure, a life lost is a shame, but are we really about to defend the actions of yet another brutal ruler?

It'll be interesting to see how things play out in the bizarre state of North Korea, especially the implications this will have on their domestic stability.

said it was natural causes(which is probably what it was)

so what does the Libya intervention have to do with this?
