somebody named Djehuty RA on face book.
Family,
Most of us are familiar with the name Dr. Yosef
Ben-Jochannan, or affectionately, “Dr. Ben.” For
those who aren’t, he is one of the world’s leading
scholars in Egyptology and considered one of the
leaders of the Pan African movement. Today Dr. Ben is
living in an assisted-living facility in the Bronx
with very little spiritual or family support.
Runoko Rashadi, also a scholar of ancient African
history, recently posted an email asking the Black
community to support this “GRAND ELDER.”
Brothers and Sisters who have visited Dr. Ben recently
asked him what the community could do to show their
love and support. Dr. Ben indicated that he is in need
of pants (32X31), t-shirts, socks, books and a belt.
He also would like to have visitors (if you are in New
York). Visiting hours are between 1-9pm. You can
send clothing and book donations or visit at the
following address.
