Black Poetry : Can you reclaim poetry?

Such a pleasure to see your name...you have always been one of my favorite poets here at destee...so glad to enjoy your gifts..
congrats on the baby boy...such a blessing to have a child

Maybe time has changed your rhythm and your flow..
but not the creativity or your positive ego
so keep on washing and bottling and diapering
and as the spirit moves so will your flow...

always a pleasure to read your work

Where do I begin...

the footsteps of this piece
walked the path of women
who have dawned the ages
of motherhood and selflessness

but trust...there is a work of art
evolving through the experiences
and this is merely the beginning
of an evolution of poetic works

I loved this particular stanza
. . . The eclipse hides all of me
only you inside my swollen abdomen
casts a shadow slightly swaying
from your soft movement."

and this one...a different tone
but equally as strong as it created
the direct sense of being pulled
in so many different directions...

and then, on the day you were born,
you loudly let your presence be known
and exhaused my own
in between loving you and working
and loving you and laundry
and loving you and dishes
and loving you and bottles
(his and yours)
and loving you and then
loving you some more
I forgot about loving myself
and the way poetry, written or read,
loves you back.

Nice to read you again poet....
Poetry never has to be reclaimed...but merely "evoked"
and you did just that
