They'll never tell the truth and will even make up good counterfeit stories as to why the Moors weren't black. Denzel Washington and Vin Diesel were battling for the role of Hannibal Barca. As a matter of fact I think they both were set to play in two separate movies about Hannibal.

Many people from the Middle East, even people(movie critics) in America said that it wouldn't be accurate historically to have Denzel play the part because the Carthagians were Semitic. Vin Diesel was said to be better suited because he had a more Middle Eastern or Semitic look. Even though he is a terrible actor in comparison to Denzel.

I know this thread wasn't originally about the Carthagians, but for some reason I had to bring this up. White people steal everything that we have ever done.

i done even think the movie was ever finished due to this idiotic disagreement. yes denzel and vin were both slated to star in two different films about hanibal.

I'm from Zambia. Africans are the world's oldest/original people but I read somewhere Berbers have been in the Maghreb (northwest Africa ) going back as far as 3000 BCE even though their origins are uncertain. I also heard from somewhen else Berbers were of Phonecian descent, but I don't think that's true. I won't say that I know for sure one way or the other, but how could the Phonecians be Black when they originated in the Middle East?

if im not mistaking by middle eastern refering to phonecians they meant around the medeteranian area. in those days the populations looked vastly different then now. dont forget arabs conquered much of what land they own now.

And where did the Arabs, who are not the only Middle Eastern people today, come from? Many Arabs are really people who come from groups conquered by Arabs. What do you say of the Berbers?

thats a good question. many arabs resemble europeans, were they from the north? Were they caucasians in origin? I have read that arab comes from the word Aryan a caucasian group.There is a racist White group called The Aryan Nation here in Amerikkka. Did they mix with africans or asians which gives them the appearance they have today? there are probably many theories, im sure its a multitude of different events. I have seen pictures of berebrs, although I am not certain of their origins, Im no historian. By their appearance I would suspect they are of mixed breed as well. however it is a fact the bebers were there before the A=Rabs invaded .

Arabs did have European slaves, I don't know. I thought the word 'Arab' came from 'i-rab' meaning 'one who speaks clearly' but I could be wrong.I remember seeing an obnoxious Arab guy at an international student meeting make up session I had to go to a couple weeks ago, I thought he was eastern European until he eventually said he was from Saudi Arabia, and he had another Arab ( I know because they were speaking Arabic to each other) friend who was a steady brown complexion w/ curly hair and looked almost Indian.

The Nazis stole the term 'Aryan' to describe their race, like they stole the swastika symbol which has ancient roots in the Eastern religions of Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism ( properly Santana Dharma? ), going back to the early Vedic culture in Hindu traditions. 'Aryan' was the self description of the proto-Indo European people. It's a Sanskrit word meaning 'noble' or 'elevated'.Persians ( the majority ethnic group of Iran, Tajikstan and maybe Afghanistan, also a large minority in Uzbekistan , speak a language called Farsi) have been calling themselves and their lineage 'Aryan' since ancient times. The Indo-Aryan languages are a branch off of the Indo-Iranian language family.
