MrBlak said:The movie "City of God" is a great movie. You should rent the DVD and watch the hour long documentary feature first...it is excellent and will give you context. Then check the movie. It is worth you time and money I feel.
Cant think of any books at the moment.
Not sure of your taste in music.
If you have never had a Chicken Roti (trinidadian food)...I reccomend to try one at least once. :rolling:
I'd have to second "City of God". It's my favorite flick.
Also "Samurai" trilogy starring Toshiro Mifune.
"She" by Saul Williams or "Huey P. Newton Reader"
Roy Hargrove "R.H. Factor" for a cd.
Food dish....Pineapple fried rice with shrimp....mmm mmmm good
Oh...check out some of Fela Kuti's music. Water no Get Enemy, Zombie, Teacher teach me no nonsense, Observation is no crime. Advanced warning. The tracks are long and to each CD there are only like 3-5 songs.
