Recommend to me what you feel are good finds or must see, must read items.

    1. A movie.
    2. A book.
    3. A musical artist, song or cd.
    4. A new food dish.

The movie "City of God" is a great movie. You should rent the DVD and watch the hour long documentary feature first...it is excellent and will give you context. Then check the movie. It is worth you time and money I feel.

Cant think of any books at the moment.

Not sure of your taste in music.

If you have never had a Chicken Roti (trinidadian food)...I reccomend to try one at least once. :rolling:

My taste doesn't matter, I'm open to anything anyone suggests. It's just interesting to see what others are reading and watching and what type of songs move them.

Well.....I dont read as much as I should so I am still stuck on that one.

Some songs I will NEVER grow tired of are as follows:
    "2000 Seasons" Talib Kweli
    "Ressurection 95 Remix" Common
    "No Great Pretender" The Roots
    "Mainstream" Outkast w/ Goodie Mob

I'd have to second "City of God". It's my favorite flick.
Also "Samurai" trilogy starring Toshiro Mifune.

"She" by Saul Williams or "Huey P. Newton Reader"

Roy Hargrove "R.H. Factor" for a cd.

Food dish....Pineapple fried rice with shrimp....mmm mmmm good

Oh...check out some of Fela Kuti's music. Water no Get Enemy, Zombie, Teacher teach me no nonsense, Observation is no crime. Advanced warning. The tracks are long and to each CD there are only like 3-5 songs.

Looked up City of God on Amazon, looks good so I've ordered it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Is Chris Botti's Indian Summer a CD or song?

All this food you all are recommending sounds good...but I have no idea how to make it.

keep the suggestions coming....I read books like I drink water.
