You walked around
as if you ruled the
world looking at me

teasing me

telling me

to suckle on your breast
then give you life

I chased you around as if
we were two children
trying to catch fall
leaves that were held for
a moment on the brisk
flow of natures expiration

running around in my mind
where writer's blocks were dodged
was indicative of my desire
to see you in another form
so I caught you and
gave you life after 9 minutes
of labor I presented you

/new/

in a metamorphed mixture
of styles and metaphors

the sound you made when
your totality was scribed
on a pad was beyond compare
yet, I listened to a voice
my soul had to translate

after the rustling of paper,
the typing of keyboards, the
scribbling of images, the grinding
of erasers, and the flipping of
dictionary pages your voice was
loud and clear

you told me your name

POETRY.
