Looking
Frantically,
Half out of your mind.
You laid your keys down somewhere.

You swore up and down that
You had them just a minute ago.
Then you looked at me.
I smiled.

You looked deeper into my eyes
And then you realized,
They were in my possesion...
The keys to your heart.

You said, "Give them back,
For I must be in
The driver's seat of my emotions
At all times."

At all times?
I smiled.

Then I said to you,

"Come and get them
Oh lovely one".

So you got behind
The wheel of my emotions and
Traveled
Every vein in my being,
Until you hit
A main artery.
When you got there,
You traveled upwards into me
Until you hit
The main heart of me.
There you found your keys,
But you could not touch them,
Because they had
Entangled themselves
Around my heart
So tightly, that they could not
Be removed, lest I die.

When you saw
The beauty and
Complexity
Of my mechanisms,
You relaxed into
A state of euphoria.
It was there that
I overwhelmed you
At your will.
It was then, that you knew,
You could trust me,
At your wheel.

I smiled again.
