Your child (son or daughter) comes to you and says, "Daddy/Mama, I want to be President of the United States," what would be the first thought that crossed your mind?

    How would you respond?

I guess it depends on their age.

If very young, I'd probably give a short reply on other ways to helping people, with a thought of, they're too young to understand how things really work.

If older, I might be a bit more blunt in telling them, there are far better choices, with a thought of not wanting my child to be the center of all that.

I'd be happy. I'd ask why.
I wouldn't speak negatively about it. If that's the goal ...if its achevable... and the person has the necessary grooming and capacity to handle the job...its not for me to pooh on that.

its a job like any other.>> shrug <<

Well alright, do what you want. Especially if you feel like you can make a positive difference.

Ok I say. If time permits, get them on the right track... Whatever that entails. A Black child should always be encouraged and supported to aspire and dream.

WoW! Great Thread ... It's already started NNQueen, this video is viral (22,000,000 views), and carries a message that I would hope we contribute to Mr. Obama's historical success of reaching the highest office in the land:

A Pep Talk from Kid President to You

Kid President meets the President of the United States of America
