Black Poetry : Young Mother

THANKS FOR SHARING...

i'm in the middle of writing a poem for a friend who give in to the "THIS IS TOO MUCH" temptation and did the abortion thing...now, seven years since PEACE smiled at her...her life is filled with grief...tears of sorrow with no signs of relief...she cries at night...when the walls close in and the world is quiet...and she relive that overcast day...seven years ago.

if i had to hazard a guess...i would say that her life, though she doesn't have the responsibility of a child, is harder because she don't have the responsibility of her child.

young motherhood
the choices made.
