When I opened my legs for you
I shut my heart to you...

Becuz I put you on a pedestal
far more advanced than circumstance or chance,
closer to idolatry than one would hope to get...

My adoration of you went way deeper than
the intimate pleasures of the flesh ~
and yet erupted in my soul,
intense, and pouring out like liquid gold...

A fascinating state of admiration I was in,
but all was but erased when I indulged with you in sin...

And now I'm left to question ~
what is the lesson?
Would it have been better to live in a misconception?
Having never seen the Truth that lies within,
unless I laid with him...
but in the same time bear in mind
that I don't get nearly the same satisfaction
as when I never knew...

THE TRUE YOU

Now I see clearly...
but it isn't what I wanted to see,
it isn't what I wanted you to be...

My Tears Sing, but You Won't Cry For Me...
