As Christ has suffered, those who choose to follow God's word will also suffer. You are an enemy of the world and you are an enemy to Satan. You are in a spiritual war battle. You will be on the front lines and you will need the proper armor to protect you from all that will come at you.
- Are you prepared for this?
- Who will fight the good fight with you? And who will you be fighting against?
- Will you lose some friends and family?
-Are you willing to stand strong and stand behind God's word no matter what comes at you?
- Do you know that there is a cost?
- Do you have the armor to protect yourself for the battle?
- Do you know what will happen if you surrender to the enemy?
- Do you believe that in the end God will be the ultimate winner?
Christ suffered for YOU.
Well let's start off by saying this. Once you become a Christian it is very likely that you too will lose some friends and possibly family members. Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot. But Jesus knew that this would happen. So, it is best that you to are forewarned of this possibly happening to you also.
So the above scriptures show how Satan uses Jesus' own apostle and friend to have Jesus murdered. And Satan will also use your closest friends, the ones that know you best, to try and hurt you also. Maybe not by murder, but to turn you away from God. And some ways that they will do this, they will say things like "Hey what do you need to go to church for? Lets do this instead, cause church is boring." Or they'll simply tell you that you aren't fun any more.
Also, Jesus had lots of other people trying to hurt him. And a lot of it was because they didn't like what Jesus had to say, because they didn't believe that he was the Son of God, they thought he was crazy. You will also have non-believers tell you that Jesus is not the Son of God, that the Bible is a made up story, lots of things...You'll hear it all, trust me. A lot of people denied Jesus.
So after Jesus was betrayed by one of his own, he was arrested. And after he was arrested he was then denied by another apostle and friend, Simon Peter, THREE TIMES (Mark 14:66-72).

Jesus Predicts his Betrayal
John 13:19-21(red Jesus speaking)
[19] " I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am He.
[20] I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me."
[21] After he said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified. "I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me."
John 13:26-28
[26] Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish." Then dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas.
[27] As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him.
"What you are about to do, do quickly," Jesus told him
Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus
Luke 22:1-6
[1] Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,
[2] and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.
[3] Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.
[4] And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus.
[5] They were delighted and agreed to give him money.
[6] He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.
