You’re sitting here next to me
Yet it seems you’re a million miles away

The summer heat is ninety degrees
Things so cold between me and you
You seem a million miles away

I could reach over and touch your hand
This is so hard to do
The strain of our relations
It has me bound, and not knowing how approach
You’re a million miles away

Words to be spoken
Formed in the mind
Never leaving the lips
Nothing spoken nothing done
You’re a million miles away

You’re sitting here next to me
Yet it seems you’re a million miles away

The summer heat is ninety degrees
Things so cold between me and you
You seem a million miles away

I could reach over and touch your hand
This is so hard to do
The strain of our relations
It has me bound, and not knowing how approach
You’re a million miles away

Words to be spoken
Formed in the mind
Never leaving the lips
Nothing spoken nothing done
You’re a million miles away

"words to be spoken, formed in the mind......" that line says it all. That line made me remember exactly who, and exactly when. Good poem, Hodee!

When all attempts to save a relationship seem to be met with lack of trying for whatever reasons from the other party, sadness with frustration sets in, because the end may be nearing and they seem not to even care. I think I've been there.

Hodee you are a sensitive writer and it attracts soul-deep!
