Black People : You are what you eat.............

THis is a good article.

Whether or not we're aware of MSG in the foods we eat, we need to be aware that we're getting too fat.

Alot of people eat for comfort, and to alleviate stress, but we don't seem to balance out the stress with regular exercise. Although many public schools have scaled back the number of classes allocated to PE, parents need to be more pro-active and honest with their own health issues. Taking the kids out for a brisk walk after dinner, or not eating in front of the TV might help.

As the saying goes, fat kids usually have fat parents. This may sound a little mean but we need to stop sugar coating the issue. Calling ourselves thick or big boned is not going to make the problem go away. We need to take a honest look at ourselves.

Yeah, too many people make excuses instead of fixing the problem. No matter how many times people tell me otherwise, fat is a problem. It's not even the appearance, but the fact that it's a constant reminder that you are very unhealthy. We need to do better. I know people that know the health concerns when eating the kinds of food they eat, but don't care because it simply "tastes good".
