    Death was upon you
    Before you were born.
    Venomous hatred...
    Your moma was scorned.

    But this did not stop
    Your destiny's dream.
    For it was my soul,
    You sought to redeem.

    You are my hope...
    My resurrection
    I was buried in sin
    And had no direction.

    Though heaven was open
    My soul was foreclosed.
    So...to free me from bondage
    A plan was composed.

    You are the only one,
    The lone begotten Son,
    Who took my very place...
Who who saved my soul by grace.

    You are my resurrection.
My soul is cleansed from sin.
    You gave my life direction.
    I won't dwell in darkness...again.

Brotherman: My place of darkness was confusion and depression. I had no clarity, no hope and no spiritual discernment. Thus, I got off into a lot of things that was not God's purpose or will for my life. Some days I would have such a feeling of emptiness and loneliness, though I was surrounded by people at times. Being depressed and not knowing why or what the source of that depression was, was one of the most terrible periods of my life...until I decided to let Jesus into my life. I was tired of religion, because of the games people play in the name of God. I had religion...but not (another darkness) relationship. Believe me you, there is a vast difference.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I began to read the bible everyday and hold conversations with Jesus. Herein, my life begin to change day by day...week by week...month by month.

The alcoholism that was my darkness was gone.
The pot addiction that was my darkness...gone.
The selling of pot to support that habit...gone.
The profanity which oozed from my soul (darkness)...gone.
My tendency to hurt people (my darkness)...gone
I can go on and on...I was in deep darkness
But God bought me into His marvelous light
Thru the precious sacrifice that His Son made for me.
This is why I love Him.
I not only love Him...but I am in love with Him.
