Somewhere in the dirty, dirty
Occupation
Telemetry technician
There was something funny about the little slave who wanted to be free
With his thick hair and full lips
Broken english and battered words
With an identity that went far beyond the color of his skin
Refusing limitation and frustrated with life's restraints
He broke the chains of ignorant slavemasters only to become a slave to the notion of freedom
He wasn't afraid of his dreams or the fight with reality to make them come true
He reached
He climbed
He fought
With no other goal than to attain his narrow minded view of freedom
His fight wasn't with oppression
His enemy wasn't a slavemaster
His only opposition were the cold steel shackles of doubt
The shackles that mocked his dreams and left him shackled to a false reality!

Extra note: So often I have seen the "little slave" in great people. Doubting yourself enslaves you. Free the "little slave" by freeing yourself. (thanks for reading)
