The title says it all. This is an on going peom until I am past this blockage. Feel free to offer your own verbage, who knows I may get some inspiration...

    Writer's Block

Not flowing from my mind to my pen
The words that are trapped with,
Stuck like a bird in a cage.
    Not flowing onto the page.

Not coming to me in a verse or rhyme
Just sitting there stuck in time.
    Waiting to be set free
Waiting for a release from me.
    :help: :thanks: :deal:

While looking at this blank page,
    my words still won't engage
they won't come to me at all
they just stay there, not wanting to fall
free from wherever, whatever they are in
not coming to me or my pen..

    Haaaaaaaaaaay Jelli

I'm just glad to read these words from you
so if it's true and i am allowed only these few
i'll embrace and read these on the page
until pen and paper are again engaged

    embrace da thoughts
    set self free
    ya flow is of thee
    ya pen is wet
    da page fill
dis block ya mind will kill
    thrill my heart
    from da start
as u flow from what u know
on dis page u have engaged
    da depth of a poet
    don't u even know it !

    ya words of scribe
    lay in a vibe
    of perfection
    let self glow
    open up free
    place ya poetic wisdom
    for many to see
    da page is filled
    da block is rocked
    ya back on top
    sweetie please don't stop
until da day ya heart say hey
i'll await da words one say....

    keep da pen drippin' ink.

Trying to get the words flowing again
I just thought I spit this small rhyme again
hoping to maybe find my voice
to maybe get these words out by choice.
so be patient with me as I write
this thread could go on all night.
but I wont run on and on
I just wanted to try to get someting going.

still a little blocked but its lifting....;)

    I FEEL U 100%
I'd have to disagree with some of my fellow poets though. I can't write just to write. The moment hits me in waves. Like a tide to a shore. So sometimes I have to put the pen down and wait.

    Patience is the key.

Another tip: while waiting for the moment to drop. Occupy yourself with other creative mediums. Art, photography, dance, create music, make love, chat on line or on the phone, tell stories, listen to stories (how your parents met...the history of cheese...what ever!)

Use this stuff as FODER....your MUSE....and before you know it the RIGHT words will wash up on shore....

    PEACE
