Ghana face the USA again in the ongoing world cup 2010.
But this time around, they play each other in the knockout stages.(1/16)

Oh yea. London Donavan has proved time and time again that he lift the team up.
I think the US team has "grown" and the black stars won't find it easy as we did in Germany 2006 but we will come out tops.

    That's good to know.
Ghana is the only African country to have made it to the knockout stages in this tournament. They set to make history if they beat the United states and progress to the quarterfinals.

    USA vs. Ghana Match Capsule
    Who: USA vs. Ghana
Where: Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Rustenberg, South Africa
    When: Saturday, 2:30 p.m. ET

How the U.S. got here: It wasn't easy, that's for sure. The plucky Americans stole a point from England in their first match, rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie Slovenia in their second match, then scored in stoppage time against Algeria to clinch a spot in the Round of 16. The final step will surely go down as one of the most dramatic and exciting moments in U.S. soccer history -- tied 0-0 with Algeria after 90 minutes, the Americans finally broke the deadlock on a Landon Donovan goal. The United States won its World Cup group for the first time in 80 years.

How Ghana got here: The Black Stars jumped out to a quick start in South Africa, knocking off Serbia 1-0 in their opener. They followed that up with a 1-1 tie against Australia. That put Ghana in ideal shape to advance, which it did despite losing, 1-0 to Germany to wrap group play. Worth noting: Despite a 1-1-1 record and second-place finish in group play, Ghana's scored only two goals, both on penalties.

Players to Watch: For the United States it starts with Wednesday's hero, Landon Donovan, arguably the greatest American player of all-time. He'll need help, though, from the likes of Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore, the latter a key, physical presence in the U.S. attack. Keeper Tim Howard must be at his best as well, if the United States will be able to play on. Whether or not hulking defender Oguchi Onyewu returns to the lineup in front of Howard will be one of the more interesting subplots leading up to Saturday.

On the Ghanaian side remember the name Asamoah Gyan. He is the Black Stars' most dangerous striker and the only member of the squad to score thus far in the 2010 World Cup. Kevin Prince-Boateng is an aggressive player and has taken nine shots in three games -- if he sees an opportunity to strike, he could hurt the Americans. At the back keeper Richard Kingson has been strong enough thus far, denying 10 shots and allowing just two goals.

Revenge for 2006?: Ghana beat the United States in the final group-stage game of the 2006 World Cup, 2-1, propelling the Black Stars into the Round of 16 and sending the U.S. home with a last-place finish. Dempsey scored the American goal that day, but Kingson stood strong in the Ghanaian net. Midfielder Stephen Appiah, who will suit up for Ghana on Saturday, scored the winner on a penalty after a foul by Onyewu.

I see Onyewu committing a mistake today and Ghana winning the game 2:1.
    It won't the easy though.
