Word play and more
when pen lays down with paper
you never know what's in store
in this union of words
The pen strokes and caresses,
and the paper, trying to remain stationary,
sighs and undresses
soaking in every nuance of ink
Eagerly receiving each letter
The page wonders if the lines are that
seductive or if the ink has gotten wetter
or perhaps it's because of the sturdy
steel frame of the pen
Then again
as we are invited into this slow
comfortable slew of words could it be about
what the author wants us to experience? To be artfully
mind fockd, passionately drawn in, or ecstatically turned out?
I think it's a collaboration of the experiences the reader
brings to what is being read
and what was going on in the writer's head
at the time the words were played
as the paper proudly displays
the love made to it, from
the rapture of words, each letter lays
strategically, yet playfully placed
on the page
