Black Poetry : Word-Flow(A Poetic Exercise)

The age of aquarius
Is still forthcoming
Although it was song
It's impact has dimished
To a hum

Hippies and civil rights
Limped out on left stage
Leaving our new young
Without a clue
On how to sing again

Replaced by video games
Where young men dream of war
But have nine lives
Like a cat
Really does not

Make love not war
Protest signs trampled
And long forgot
Although there is still
The need to be free

Of oppression, hunger
Women in other counries in
Captivity
Stoned for not wearing a veil
New batteries never kill the controller

The age of aquarius, where all men will be free
Women living with them in harmony
Has yet to come
Our dreams now lost on our children
With video game controllers in their hands

Next word: Hippie

The beat rings clear in my head
Rythmic as my heart beats
Sunday morning dancing
To music no one hears
But me

Zamunda
Leisurely swaying hips
Vaccuming and cleaning
Stpping to turn on the radio
LOUD

Neighbors complaining
Me laughing
My cats chasing and playing
Always makes me happy
The Zamunda beat

Next word: ECLIPSE

Mass glow in da shadow
as they cross maze eclipse
upon da skies of memory

Like da lunar of my love
as it orbit and cross the soul
into an eclipse of emotions

Leaving a reddish glow
far and between
that play in my mind
a star show repeatedly
