    Wonder Woman wandered wide
    Wondering why
When around others, she could be so wise and witty
But alone by herself, she'd sometimes wallow in self pity
    Emotions wrung, even physically weary
    Worn but still withstanding
Because for her, there could be no teary
    Relief
    Why, she was Wonder Woman!
*Well, at least, that was the general consensus belief*
And, daily, she endeavored to convince herself too
But it was hard work striving to constantly infuse and imbue
Those same WONDROUS qualities into herself
When, inwardly, she strove to place such wares on a high shelf
Far away out of the reach of that hated nemesis called "Weak"
All the while, wishing to be granted
Gift-wrapped WONDERS, she'd secretly yearn for and seek
    To untie
Revealing the very joys she'd mentally wasted or waived
*Why, all eyes were on her!*
The whole world waited with rapt attention to withold how she'd behave
    In any given situation
But hers was the soul lying in wretched incubation
    Withering
    Weighed with whirling woes
Whipped by the walloping weapons and whittling warfare her life wields
Long overwhelmed by the vicious, pursuing wolves her life yields
Wrung from the heavy blows and hidden welts
And, as always, even any wispy hope, vanishes, verily, melts
Imprisoned by an internal, ubiquitous warden
Alternately, waxing without in wishful whimsy
Yet, waning within from wrecked wishes
Wanting some kind of even brief warranty
On peace and happiness or, at least, contentment
    But, she was Wonder Woman!
So, for her, it was always another's welfare
    And not her own
    That was important
    Yes, she was Wonder Woman
But, sadly, SHE didn't believe, by part and whole, that she was, indeed, WONDROUS...

Sorry I can't see the relation, sistah; but if you connected to this piece in any way, then my poem was not in vain. So, I thank you.

    my sistah...

...the wonders of a woman are many
from child rearing to house cleaning
are there any who doubt her fanny

    i mean

from morning's wake to the setting sun
she battles physicalities 'til skirmishes are won
    and little things are done
    and big things are done
    and, in between, there's fun

so, she smiles her relief at another successful day
after husband...and child...have all gone their way
and she prepares the home for a peaceful night's sleep
yet answers the call of a late night's weep
from any of those who rests under her watchful eye
if you say she's not wondrous...i'd have to ask WHY?
