I hear you and agree. Unfortunately, to me, that’s not the world we’re living in right now. The news needs to be X rated so our kids dont watch.

As a prior victim of rape and kidnapping, these women are an insult with their harassment stories.
Entertainers, celebrities, who did have sex with Weinstein for movie roles, and more.
I don’t see them as millionaire victims of Weinstein’s. He mad them rich.

And these very same women by choice, choose not to include Rape in their harassment movement, conversations.

Because they were not raped. If so, they would be talking about rape.

Personally, I do not view the exchange of sex for favors as rape or harassment, or sexual assault. Even exchange ain’t robbery/rape all the way to the bank. riches, and fame.

Who are the victims in this story?

Weinstine, who made these women rich, and famous, and they accuse him of rape or
The women whe gave Harvey sex and other goodies, for that movie role that made them rich and famous.

One is no better than the other.

She looks like a male feminist. That picture makes her look manly.

I take offense to the way the stolen METOO solicited stories of sexual assault and rape stories from thousands of women. Women shared their rape stories.
The result is all those stories of rape were ignored and the numbers used to support victims of harassment.
Victims, violated again. Yea, that’s what it feels like. Used and discarded.

Now. I’m having another anxiety attack, since this bait and switch rape to harassment movement.

Without a doubt Harvey Weinstein is a powerful billionaire creepy monster.
He was the creep in the seat with the power to make other people rich, famous, and powerful. And he did just that. For a price, I’ve read.

He was intolerable for the male actors also.
    Everybody knew.

He did not hide his creepiness. He opened his hotel door wearing only a open robe and no underwear, asking women to touch it, kiss it, massage it.
Word spread about his nasty habits. Everybody knew.
Why would any woman go to his room knowing what to expect. Unless she wanted something from him; like riches and fame. Those things come at a cost. That cost for Weinstein was to endure his creepiness and sexual request.
Is riches and fame worth selling your body for? Some of these celebrity women thought so at the time. The sex wasn’t a good or pleasurable experience, but they got what the came for.

Fast forward 10-15 years, the women still remembering what they had to do to get that role. They’re remembering the exchange of sex for riches and fame.
Only now, they remember the sex differently. Was it harassment, sexual assault, rape.
Were they complicit in their own, now, sexual assault.
Does it matter if they’re telling the truth or not.

The complicated, inadequate language of sexual violence

I can write, “He forced oral sex on her,” but that formulation troubles me: Oral sex is a consensual sex act, which creates an ambiguity that forced does not quite resolve. “How can you force oral sex?” people demand.

The complicated, inadequate language of sexual violence

Our culture doesn’t want us to talk about sexual violence. So our language makes it hard.
