Hilarious movie.
Ryan Rynolds is solid. But I really loved seeing Wesley Snipes reprising his role as OG Blade. Unless Ryan can get him back in we may have to call him OG Blade from now on. Nothing against Ali, but for me, the only person who I'd be okay with playing Blade is another black martial artist like Michael Jai White.

Loved it. Just as much, if not more than Deadpool 2. I especially liked the many digs at Fox.
We probably won't see another Blade movie since Marvel can't get out of it's own way.

I don't know how real this is yet but I heard Ali passed on the project after finding out that they wanted to kill off the male Blade and install his daughter in his place. If this is true, Disney is really going too far on this Kathleen Kennedy agenda. It's one thing to diversify a cast (if it makes sense for the setting). It's another thing to change story lines and content just to replace people; especially those who are already minorities.
It seems like Kennedy is only asking herself, "Is there enough women in this? How can I do more."
And the reality, IMO, is not that we shouldn't have more female characters or other diverse characters. But it's more like we need new stories where they can be featured. Stories like Black Panther and Into the Spiderverse. These are universally loved, but it's like Disney doesn't understand that you don't have to change existing characters. You can create new ones or highlight existing characters of that race/gender.
Do I mind a female Blade? Not if it means killing the OG Blade to do it.
They are trying to blackball Wesly. And everyone else is running away from the lousy scripts
