    Winter finds me
    Knee deep in
    Heartache’s horror of
    Holiday festivities
    With
    Loneliness
    Creeping up on me
    Singing songs of dreariness
    Like, “I wanna go outside
    …in the rain”
Coz this pain has taken hold of me
    Got me slipping
    S
    ...L
    ……I
    ………P
    …………P
    ……………I
    ………………N
    …………………G
    Towards the dungeon of…insanity
    As I pray for leniency
    That I might keep her
Grasping…for someone to hold on to
    To console me
    Throughout the empty nights
    So that I might…might (sigh)

    Winter finds me
    Caught up
    In Christmas and Thanksgiving
    Wishing
    Tomorrow would come again
    And this misery of mine
    Would end
    Singing the Blues
‘bout all times spent with you
    wishing for one last dance
    …one last chance at romance
    denied me
Missing the tender sides of you
    The warmth
    The touch
    The nearness of you
    That got me through
    Last winter’s coldness

    Winter finds me…
    Alone
Thinking of what could have been
As the New Year comes in
    And all good things start
    Anew
    Still,
Thinking of my love for you

    As winter finds me.

Ummm, reflective thoughts of what was, could be...often, this is a time of the year where many people experience such melancholy, due to the passing of a loved one, or the end of a love relationship... thanx for this piece. You've set the stage nicely...
