Tomato plant
String beans
Green pepper
Sample of my little garden
On my window sill

The soil that was once
Outside my door
Is now covered with cement
They say they cover the soil
For human advancement

I water my little garden
on my window sill
With filter water from my faucet.
Because the water that now
comes from my faucet
is predicted to be poison
they say they dump
the factory chemical in the water
for human advancement

I use to drink rain water
I would catch it in a pail
Now I dare not take a sip
It is mix with pollution acid
They say the smog is a much
It is for human advancement

The earth cover in cement
The rain water poison
A garden in the house
Resting on my window sill
Will one day fade
As they say things are as they are
For the advancement of human

I don’t see it that way.
As they make advancement
For the human race
It is slowly killing us
Day by day
As I water my little garden
With filter water
That sets on my window sill.
