It only makes sense if someone is asserting that somehow the repugs of the Nixon era were less venal and ignoble than the repugs today are. The person/s making that assertion have not made anything even approaching a justification for such a ludicrous statement.

To me it shows a profound lack of understanding of those not yet by-gone days and needs to be pushed back against if for no other reason than to make sure history isn't white washed in lies about who or how 'good and up standing' those republicans were or that ANY are today.

um, i lived through those times and i don't remember any 'good' white people.......

I admire Kemetstry because his posts are illuminating and truthful. And I find it distasteful the way you talk to him. But if he's okay with it, then that's that.

Your description of forum importance is funny: "You just got here." Actually, I didn't. I signed up some time ago and liked the Spiritual thread.

There's only a few things I care about: Survival of the Black Race and an end to people sleeping on the street, not having access to healthcare and being able to go to a college or a trade school at minimum cost.

I was simply saying respect our ancestors to the highest degree for what happened. Is that so hard i didn't realize that. You say you care about the survival of the so called black race yet undermined the role our ancestors played in bridges us into present day life.
