The heart of mother
The strong wishing of a child
Doesn’t show his face

Tears, wet like the sea
That divides them, they wish the
Water bring him back

Hopeful that heartbeats
And sweet memories be his
Path back to their souls

Eternal waiting
Knowing that the root of time
Promises nothing

The sky overflows
With prayers singing the same song
“Just bring him home safe”

Lost Americans
Never asking of much , want
Just to hear footsteps

At night, eyes open
While inside that Big White House
Complete rest happens

Waiting brings lost hope
Will “soon” come tomorrow as
We still wait today?
