More than 40,000 Rifftrax fans voted for “After Earth,” which was just one of many 2013 films set on or near a post-apocalyptic Earth, and featured the Smiths playing a father and son named Cypher and Kitai Raige. In second place was the TV movie ”Sharknado,” which pulled in only about half as many votes as “After Earth.”

This movie is being categorized as worse movie of the not because it was bad, if any of you read the reviews , there is a simple word used in most of the reviews called Nepotism, that reviewers despised because Will Smith is positioning his son to be the next superstar. Thats the whole story, there have been worse movie than this movie guaranteed, they wanted the movie to flopped financially it bombed here int he states but was a success overseas, so they went the worse movie of the year route. I mean In white America two Black men being the last survivors and saviors of humanity has worse movie of the year written all over it.

"After Earth" pulled more negative votes than "Sharknado." Now that IS bad...

"Votes" in a poll are irrelevant. It's the box office that counts. Now give those figures and then we'll see if the movie-going public considers it to be "the worst movie."

    P.S.
And don't leave out the Overseas box office totals, either, since I read somewhere that Will Smith is the biggest actor in the rest of the world.
