I sometimes worry what will become of our traditions/culture in the future...

being raised in the uk or usa or outside of Africa...it feel like as tyme goes on, our cultures are slowly phasing out.
(i even heard that this is almost happening in Africa!?!?!?)

many 1st generation kids born in the UK or USA.. are at risk of losing their culture.

I listen 2 music, watch fil s from my home-land(Nigeria)..and i'm a big fan of the traditional dances, events.. e.g. 'Ikeji'(New Yam fetival)..

personally, i wish i could fluently speak my native tongue(Igbo).
i can say one or 2 words..but i mainly understand it.

Don't get me wrong...there are many kids who partake in cultural/traditional events/celebrations but, what else can be done to save these traditions..??

not alot of my peers can speak&hear their native tongues,
and it feels worse 2 me when i meet sum1 who totally doesn't understand..
(i seen/heard of those who dont even care about the culture/heritage...)

(I'm even scared of certain native groups dying out, b-cos the larger groups greatly out number them.)

if it's like this now..what will it be like for our kids or grandkids..?

(There is soo much else i wanna write...)
