    Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas...
    Bah! Humbug!
Why is this the season to be jolly?
When 365 days of the year there are people that are starving?
It all starts around this time of year
When all the hipocrats of this land get full of cheer.
    And brotherly love.
But in June, they can't see the person in the streets holding the cup
Asking for a little spare change.
Do you have change for a 10?
First, they celebrate a holiday that glorifies the mass murder
Of thousands of Native American sisters & brothers
And they call it thanks for giving us.
They were tricked out of their homeland by the colonists building false trust.
People donate canned goods & turkeys
So the homeless could have meals.
    Just for one day.
But never think of giving the leftovers in the fridge.
    They'd rather throw them away.
A month later it graduates into Christmas.
When people go out of their way to behave for Satan's cause.
    I mean Santa Claus.
He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake.
He knows if you've been bad or good, and he likes the fact that everyone's fake.
Families get together, smile fake smiles and exchange gifts of deceit.
Just to be taken back the following day
In exchange for something else they don't need.
November through December is the season to be jolly.
January through October is the season to be faulty.
When did people stop caring for one another?
    What happened to paying tithes?
    Why do people feel inclined
To give when they hear the bells ring?
    Give on August 29th
See the joy that THAT brings.
January 2nd, see you next year Salvation Army.

    P.M.,

Thanks for keeping it real and seeing these "hellidays" for what they are, Commercially built up times of the year. If people looked deeper than the turkey and "Satan's cause" (I dig that heavily) then maybe, just maybe they would live a little freer. this piece was a 10 no question. Thank you for the food.

    peace, blak

Ok...Positive...I've only done this for one other poet on the forum...

    but I think it's time...

I am officially starting the PositiveMindset Fan Club...

    I am of course...Fan#1

But on a serious and conscious note...
you ripped away the veil on this one...
touching on multiple issues so dear
and tithes..? (that's what I'm talking about)
the hypocrisy we often, unconsciously allow
ourselves to become slave to is unbearable at times
    thank you for this...

I hear the chains falling from minds, everytime I read you!
