the revolution has never stopped..but sometimes the methods
must change with the times...and although it appears..."appears"Revolution doesn't work...it's pieces like this...that fuel the fire...

So much truth in your pen. So many contradictions in the world, makes you want to throw up your hands and say why bother? But if no one bothered we'd be even further back than we are now, and in your words, there is change, no matter how slight.

Why should I really CRY revolution?
When no one else is giving their devotion
It’s a bad potion
The revolution never did make full rotation
No one is taking hands in this motion
****, I’m tired of declaring my determination
For a revolution
Of a truly damned nation
Why should I FIGHT for the revolution?

I cry education
has been getting a back repetition
And people look at me like I’m in public fornicating
I don’t know where we are in this revolution
But I do know we are a long way from our destined location
While White and Asian
Still hatin’
On us we waitin’
For a revolution
That ain’t nothing but a pigment of our imagination
Why should I DEVOTE myself for a godd@mn revolution?

Government ain’t NEVER gon’ be right
Black and White
Ain’t never gon’ be tyte
And our children will NEVER know wrong from right
We can have all the faith we want but why fight for something that ain’t gon’ end right
C’mon now, how are we gon’ fight when we talk about our own people because they black as night?
Why FIGHT to LOSE for a fake revolution out of sight?

You can stand in front of a podium all day but the information is just going to go in one ear and out the other ear
People hate to fight for what they fear
Maybe, they fear the peace that would be here
If the revolution was real and pushed in second gear
But for now all they do is worry about what they wear
How long their nails are......as if I care
And what celebrities are the newest pair
So, why fight for a revolution when no one else cares?

Nuclear bombs
In Vietnam
Pimps following Bishop Don Wan
Kids killing other kids and thinking it’s fun
Rappers calling black females b!tches in their songs
And young girls wearing skirts this here long
So, why should I BATTLE a revolution, and the world is built on WRONG?

How and why do I shout and it seems not enough?
Black folks just try to be tough
Holding pistols/ guns deflating bluffs
Fake mink coats.......baby fluffs
Drug dealers with the dough forming master puffs
Is ANY revolution ENOUGH?

What is the revolution?
Why do we fight for a divine revolution?
We MUST first have a definite foundation
Black, White, and Hessians
Before we can fight for that revolution
Until then ***** the revolution

I’m not trying to be deep
And I hope this is NOT a statement I have to keep
or repeat
But the revolution is a cheap
thrill or slow leap
And I refuse to put a penny of my energy in the heap
So, I don’t give a beep
Or a beep
“ F” that beep
Why fight for a revolution that’s cheap?
I’m fighting for a revolution and I feel like I being cheated

The revolution started right when we stepped foot on this land
Took Indians off their native lands
And brought “us” over here because they “can”
Don’t give us rights right off hand
Looked at us as 3/5 human
Put all the pressure on us we could stand
And promised us a mule and 40 acres in land
But we didn’t get it so d@mn
They freed us and called us “*******” not humans
Beat and hung us for sleeping with a White human
No front bus for the blacks........STAND!!!!!!!!
Not eating in front of diners........STAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
The revolution fixed this
But what about the drugs from the white man
That was given to the black man
The revolution didn’t help with the recent problems for the black man
So, why fight when no one else is taking a STAND?

REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!
What revolution??

At least not for me or you
Fighters for the crew
Are little or few
So, do you really think there’s a revolution for you?
Why fight it when there are NO WARRIORS
DOCTORS
Or LAWYERS?
