    Why is networking so important?

I see networking is important because as my adviser noted to me,"That employers are looking for ways to not hire you or anyone else."
I thought about it, then it hit me; I got to prove that I fit in the culture.
Each company have a culture that we might fit in or not.
Everyone might not like the idea, but it is the wave of the future along with social networking.
Right now, there are jobs but, it is who you know that can get you in.

In all actuality networking has been around for a long time, and a lot of times networking got a person in those desired job positions if it was not all out nepotism that did it. The advancement of the internet just helped the advancement of networking.

Everyone Black IMHO, should like the idea. A national resource pool website of Black employers and Black professionals, para professionals, trade craft workers and laborers, with screening can only help the aleviate the unemployment ish!
By 2016 the only qualification many White employers will be seeking is White; regardless of credentials, skills, work history and everything else on ones resume! That is going on already in NYC
