    Solutions come from Creativity.

The 60s was a hallmark of creativity in every aspect of human endeavor from science, music art, politics, philosphy, and economic concepts such as the ideologies of Dr Clarke.

When looking at what is on the television, and n movies and music and comparing it to what was aropund in the 60s and 70s,

is the 21 century a kind of period of enui? or lack of creativity?,
and why does mediocraty make millions where such things would not be accepted or tolerted but shut down

    like a musical about

"The Scottsborough Boys" with Black face like Bamboozled

there was Ed Bullins and Amiri Baraka and the Negro Ensemble company, with Douglas Turner Ward and the great Barabara Ann Teer, creaing plays that not only entertain but cause one to think deeply and criticaly, about the concerns of the Black Community

    what do we have today?
    Top Dog , Underdog?

now you know this is a "bold face" lie...hopefully, you're just trying to be funny!

By the way, Hip Hop has it's own language...so how creative is that?

let me see you bust a rhyme bro. J

    "I said a hip hop
listen, the youth have got to stop
if they don't turn that noise off
i'm gonna be instru-mental and call the cops
and tell 'em to pull they pants up
    and stop showin' their @-s
    and do like my generation
and mellow out to some jazz"

    - dang bro. J, i didn't know you could flow

No one has a fear of creativity, some people just don't recognize when one is being creative!

    Creativity is all around us.

Some are just stuck in the past and are walking around with blinkers on which means they are blind to this creativity.

Those of us who have children whom we have watched blossomed into productive and creative young adults see and experience their creativity every day.

I really don't see a lack of creativity! Among all of us!

The Media perhaps plays us like that.

But then you know who they are?

There's no lack of creativity. In fact, the means to produce and distribute creative things has exceeded any other known period. The democratization of it has drawn plenty of criticism and made quite a number of people uncomfortable, Keen being one of the most recent favorites.

I think there is more creativity being done today then ever due to all the latest and
new technology , just like someone said many just not aware of it when they see/ hear
or feel the creative vibe , I see new creation made daily in the community /in my home
from the streets and what is happening the media push it all aside and try to profile
it as nothing or something bad .

It's there just have to awaken the mind to hear it /open da eyes to see it and not
worry what the media and the system think or say !

during the 60s and 70s music was just music, that was that, no culture, life style, yada yada yada

some may argue the time frame but ,
R and B was only 10 years, Motown height was only 10 years, Funk was only a few years, Soul was only a 10, disco a few years, and the Black elevation music of Earth Wind and fire and Roy Ayers, was just a short time

    but Hip Hop has been over 25 years and with the tampering of government and corporate ;
agencies to foster the sales of drugs, glorification of materialism, fratricide and mysogeny, and incarceration as a rites of passage
what subconscious effect has that had on a genration?

the brother was a bit rough but

    take a look at this,
with all the computer gadgets and pocket gizmos our youth have today and the number of HBCUs

why is it that we had literaly hundreds of inventions from so many Black men and women,
whose parents still bore the marks of the slave lash on their backs,

    but practicaly none now?

this is not about past time paradise

if somoene can remember a rap song why cant the same youth remember the times table or the pythagorean theorum, or the Nguzo Saba?

If the creativity can be used to entertain the why is it not channeled to liberate?

there are no Angela Davis, Assata Shakurs, H Rap Browns, Kwame Tures,
    Bobby Seales or Fred Hamptons
coming out of these universities with

new and creative methodologes and strategies for the Black community

Perhaps not but times are different and,for the most part, protest movements are a thing of the past. Don't thinK I can agree that the youth coming out of universities today dont have new and creative methodologies and strategies for the Black community.

I dont think my brother here would agree with that assessment either.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Kelley

I doubt if his sister would agree either.

    http://www.thepraxisproject.org/about/makani.html

If our youth are not coming out of collges and universities with new and creative methodologies, what does this say for the older guard such as Cornel West who should be "conscientizing" our youth?

there are 2 sides of the brain but sometimes the subjective analyitical side rles out any possibilirty of creativity

and that is why the term new methodologies was used and said distinctly!!!!!

so that no one can say the old methodologies wil lnot work today

those folks mentioned did not make excuses, they were creative, nor did they sit and wait for some old professor to, babby feed them or take them by the hand!!!

the inventors of the period of reconstruction says something about our real creativity

    that we have forgotten

we have also forgotten the Supreme ceativity of our ancestors to be able to get off that plantaion with nothing but the rags on their backs not knowing how they would feed their children the next day, or make it in a practicaly war like hostile racist environment,
and get us where we are today

even something as small as making an original post, seems to be a frightening thing on so many different websites
