    lol.

Keep in mind though, you don't need religion to be spiritual.

    peace

don't forget the RITUALS you must participate in in order to satisfy being called "Religious"...........

on second thought, it might just be for you James as you really don't have to read anything outside of your own religious book. Read your own book (if you even want too) and then just tell everyone else who does not follow your religion that they are going to hell for not believing what you believe.....

    the formuli really quit simple!!

This point can't be stressed enough.

True spirituality comes from within, and once this simple truth is actualized, you could technically not read a single document ever again in your life, and still ascend.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, Brother Elder. Give spirituality a try.

You already possess a keen level of wisdom, and as a Scorpio, you already possess an inherent inclination towards the so-called "mystical". That much is evident, vis a vis, the symbols you adorn yourself with--the same ones that I wear.

This tells me that your spiritual side is screaming to come out, and undoubtedly has been for quite sometime.

    PEACE

Levity all aside, there mayhaps be more truth to this than you might be willing to give credence to.

Our sleeping phase of exsistence is just as spiritual as it is physiological.

Though I have always bowed to your seniority, I would nonetheless most sincerely suggest that you pick up at least volume #1 of METU NETER and give it a gander, even if you read not a single 'nother book for the rest of your life.

    PEACE

Exactly, but one thing I've always had a problem with is most people who are really religious, have a blind belief system going on. Meaning, they don't know if their religion is true, but they "believe" in it so much that they alter their entire life for something they can't even possibly prove. But like karmashines said as well as others, there's a difference between being religious and being spiritual.

i'm silly but i am not unaware.
i have had a thread on the metu neter and a thread on dream state here.

i got the impression that the metu neter was not for casual reading.
i have even been warned that it could be dangerous as the ancient forces are not to be toyed with.

my dream sate is so intense that i am more tired in the morning than i am when i go to sleep.

i am friendly with all the spiritual groups in Philly.
cats that do not talk to each other all talk with me.

    True indeed.

    I recall both.

This is true, however, neither sentiment should be seen as a deterrent from engaging in your spiritual endeavors, but rather as a caution to respect those things that you cannot control, and can only understand to a degree.

Indeed, spirituality can be seen as "serious business" (which is why many of us seem so stoic), but trust and believe, it can lead to a very fulfilling and joyous exsistence, both on this plane and on the other(s).

    This is not uncommon.

    However, it is correctable.

Imagine going into a swordfight without a sword; you'll have to work much harder than your opponent(s) to not only defend yourself, but also to defeat them.

Spiritual development employs you with the proper tools/weapons to be successful in all life's endeavors, both awake and sleeping.

Bottom line: if you acknowledge that you indeed have a spirit, then to neglect it's development would be tantamount to suicide, just as neglecting your body's growth and well-being would be.

This is NOT about believing in one thing or another. People look at my pics and see someone strong, healthy, and developed.

I'm here to tell you that I didn't get that way by "believing", or by sitting and doing nothing--waiting on someone/thing else (be it "GOD", or someone else entirely) to make me that way for me.

And it is with the same fervor that I address my spiritual well-being.

    PEACE
