Black Relationships : Why have a 'sugar daddy'?

True but that's the only way some of them can get it. Besides, after sixty five many of them only want companionship anyway because their prostate gland is :uzi:too shot for anything else. The desire is there, but the performance is only a dream in the past. He can work :lift: out all he want to and walk ten miles a day, but once that prostate gland stops working he will always feel that he is only half of a man.

Women on the other hand tend to enjoy sex at a longer stage of life than men. I don't judge women who are sugar momas with men thirty years or younger than themselves. Even though it don't look right to me. :puke: I clearly understand why they do it, because many men their age are not able to keep up the pace.

So all in all, I guess we humans will always be in love with the youth of life...even in the midst of growing old.

"Women on the other hand tend to enjoy sex at a longer stage of life than men."

Later, yes, but "longer" is questionable for two basic reasons.

Males are said to reach their sexual peak at 19. Women around 35. This is a 16 year gap! So when the women are "peaking" the men already done peaked when the women were around 19.

Secondly, what is the life expectancy of Black men? If it is less than 65 it's not even a matter of their prostate. It's their overall health which tends to decline around the age of 45. And have you ever heard of MENOPAUSE!

Women's "libido" varies once estrogen levels drop and many younger men will get wiith older women once they are going through menopause for the simple reason that they can no longer give childbirth. However, this is variable because women's mood swings and sex drive often make them irritable as a result of menopause, and it is at this stage a lot of women suffer from depression. And this helps to explain why younger men do not stay with older women for long (for the most part).

Alos factor in something that is not talked about very often. And that is male menopause. Women lose estrogen and produce more testosterone. Men lose testosterone and produce more estrogen! This is naturally part of the aging process and sometimes men produce more estrogen at a faster rate than they lose testosterone. This creates an imbalance not so much in sex drive but in functioning.

Nore: This "male menopause" is known as andropause and as men get older they produce more aromatase, an enzyme that converts testosterone into estrogen. This causes an imbalance and often leads to prostate cancer. It explains why prostate cancer is so prevalent among Black men. Because it is a condition that is seldom diagnosed so it goes untreated. Most Black men have no clue what is going on unless they are involved with a specific health/fitness program which focuses on correcting dietary habits and an exercise program that specifically targets areas which are "at risk".

Bro. O. Wow! I always thought that nature was cruel to women giving us periods, cramps, labor pains, reduced desirability as we age, etc. but from what you've said, I can see nature played a more cruel joke on men. Imagine a male reaching his sexual peak at 19 when he's not even old enough to barely know what a woman is and then when you finally do (in your 40s)figure us out, some of y'all can't keep up with us.

I'm thinking also that when older men go after younger women, they may actually be more compatible with a younger woman sexually because if he's 50 and she's 25, neither one of them is at their sexual prime. For the sake of having children though, this is a problem.

Now, I'm obviously speaking in generalizations here, but touching on that other thread here about older men hogging the money and taking women from younger men, the thing is that from what you've explained, an older man (low sex drive, health problems, more estrogen, etc) NEEDS money to keep a woman of any age whereas a younger man can at least perform sexually. Maybe this is why so many men work so hard or will do practically anything to get money?

Anyway, the major reason why I'm attracted to a man my age or older is because of his wisdom and his smarts. The way I look at it is that if he has these two, he can easily figure out a way to satisfy me sexually and he either has or can get money.

Sister, it's not that "some of ya'll cant keep up with us"...MOST of us cant keep up!

Interestingly, while posting this i'm watching a news special ("House Call") on CNN this morning which is discussing these related issues!

"I'm thinking also that when older men go after younger women, they may actually be more compatable with a younger woman sexually ..." I do believe that I mentioned something to you before in another thread stating as such but did not discuss it from this standpoint...but this is a trend becuase in many instances child rearing is not an issue in this type of relationship becuase younger women who tend to date older men also are the ones who tend to have put off having children for the sake of their careeers and ADOPTION is often an option, or, keep in mind, this is where some of these women may actually settle down with an older man who already has kids...

On the money issue...its not just NEEDING more money to keep a woman of any age. I agree, that is part of it. The other, which I can personally attest to is increased medical costs. And the costs of a physical trainer can cost over $500 per month, not including membership fees and costs for classes. A 7 days suppply of whey protein costs $24.99. that's $100 for 28 days. Combine that with vitamin supplements and supplements to control diabetes, cholesteral and triglycerides and prostate, another $50-$100 per month.

Now, how much does one have left for "dating" and where does one find the time between work and a vigorous fitness schedule? Unfortunately, most BLACK men (this is not a stereotype but what most physicians say) dont regulate their diets or visit a physician enough to reduce their high risk of diabetes, heart disease or prostate cancer because they/we dont make it a priority (not me though!). Now the thing is all these ailments lead to higher rates also of not only "erectile dysfunction" but.....well... lets just say that the sexual organ itself "deteriorates"...dont care how large the organ is anymore. If you lost it, its lost...

Sister, speaking personally, while it is true that an older man can "easily figure out a way to" please YOU sexually, my question is are YOu finding ways to PLEASE HIM?

I ask this because I must personally admit that as I have gotten older one thing I have found is that my own sexual activity decreased, along with my attraction to women close to my age group, simply for the fact that they seemed to constantly expect me to perform sexually to "please them" while my own need for "pleasure" has increasingly not been met.

I have not gone this route but Im sure that I am not alone in this and a number of men in similar situations resorts to escorts, prostitutes and "chicken farms" and "bunny ranches".

Ever watch those HBO specials or programs such as "Real Love" and listen to some of the testimony of the men who are interviewed?

Since white men generally have a higher life expectancy and earn higher per capita income they can afford steroids/supplements to enhance their sexual performance and for prevention of prostate cancer while MOST Black men either cannot afford the same prevention drugs or simmply do not choose to regulate their at risk factors.

I have a number of these health risk factors, which are genetic, and find it very tedious and a difficult task to control/manage each and every oone. Being without a job or health coverage is eating up my savings and I most likely will have to begin searching for work within the next two weeks. I have successfully been able to manage the diabetes and hypertension with exercise and diet but now have a problem with my cholesterol which is under 200 but off balance....and a high triclyceride level. ....so back to the question "why a sugar daddy"...wow....that's such a bad usage of terminology......when I think of sugar daddy...now i think about an older brother with diabetes.....lol.....not funny i know....rather tragic....but i dont see how these older men are "hoarding wealth" from younger men....i think its more a thing that the younger men have not gotten their priorities straight yet....something i myself did not focus on until AFTER my sexual prime...and I was/am a late bloomer...:x:
