Black Poetry : WHY DON'T YOU LOVE URSELF?

[MRS. LADY]

I don't shuck
And I don't duck

But I will move out ur way

I don't strive
To stay alive

Life is the only game I play

I move
I can't lose

I won before it started

All I did, claim victory

Decided to stay right, where my heart is

They say hearts left
But really a heart
gets its charge from the other side

Left is logic, But the right is creativity

(Inspiration) And that's what keeps you alive

I was born to live
Because I come from life

I do everything physical with my left
My right keeps my left in check
So I naturally use the right side of my mind
But, my brain processes, replicates and reflects

The information transmitted from my right
That produces the ability to see, if you have an inner light.

A wise ole Indian Woman asked once
How can you even function without knowing ur very own spirit

That's a choice by the individual
To ignor it, even tho they know they hear it

See these voices I hear
Don't tell me to do anything wrong

In fact,
The only thing they ever say is:

Never let them steal your song

You don't need their meds
You don't need their traits
You don't need to join their cause

Because really and truly u have a purpose
And that's the only thing that's exclusively yours

I really enjoyed how you incorporated the "left brain-vs-right" brain data.


And as a fellow Piscean, I can relate to that "creative" side of you.

Perhaps, we Pisces are more adept at handling both sides having that duality in the 2 fish.....Maybe one represents the "left brain" (analytical) and the other, the right brain (creativity)?

Just thinking out loud....

But, sincerely, I enjoyed how you presented this! And the title was especially interesting.

I think we Pices can become dominant on both sides, but if one takes over and is not balanced.... get ready... lol

I do everything left handed.... so naturally I would use the creative side

I wonder why the catholic school I went to use to slap ur left hand and force u to write with ur right....... hmmmmm

think about the right and left in terms of right side being female element and left being male.... all within urself.....

u harminize that .....

so my physical is already ambidextrous....

if the spiritual refelcts that then i can see the father, son.. holy ghost in u...

and u can see

mind, body and soul in me......

unity is a psychological decision.

first of mind, body and soul and then like minds...... regardless of the way it is expressed.
